Procedure Writing

Procedure Writing!!  

Martin the Alien has arrived on Earth and he wants to know how to make a Healthy Hamburger. Here is a procedure, using the correct structure and language, to instruct Martin on how to make my favourite healthy hamburger.

Title: Healthy hamburger

Ingredients/Materials:

white bun

carrot

lettes

chicken

mayonnaise

Method:

1.Slice bun in half.

2.Cook the chicken.

3. Wait for chicken to cook.

4.Grate carrot and slice cabbage to make coleslaw.

5.Put cooked chicken on bun.

6.Scoop coleslaw onto bun.

7. Spread mayonnaise on the top bun and put on top of coleslaw  

8.Enjoy and eat.

Life Education

We went to life Ed and learnt about healthy food and how much we should eat.

Jump rope

Jump rope Yahoo! Finally it was time for Jump Rope day. There were heaps of skipping activities. My favorite one was the partner skipping. You had to find a buddy and get a long skipping rope to fit two kids. One person held one handle and one person held the other then you skipped. At last it was the jump off. Max won!

Summer

Finally the warm summer breeze greeted me as I arrived at the beach. As I walked along the beach while dad went fishing I felt the warm sand between my toes. Eventually dad arrived back. He had caught a big fish. He let me hold it. It was slippery, sloppy and slimy. Mum shouted, “ice cream time!”  The yummy smell of all the flavors in the ice cream shop welcomed me. I got cookies in cream with sprinkles. Suddenly the boat honked its loud horn and gave me a big fight. Because it gave me a big fright the sprinkles slowly fell off my ice cream.

Adverbs at the beginning of sentences

I have been learning how to use adverbs as sentence starters to make my writing more interesting.

Loudly the dog barked at the cat up the tree.


Quickly the boy ran across the field.


Bravely he crept towards the dark cave.

Three scientists creating a Balloon Rocket

For the Science fair Jess, Braeden and I did an experiment called Balloon Rocket. I think that we worked together great because we didn't talk too much. The experiment worked out well but the little balloons didn't work. The normal balloon went the furthest and fastest along the string.

Shambles

This is a book about shambles getting lost and finding his way back home. A girl Danella found him on the beach and called the radio station pet line. Mrs Naylor heard the ad and found out he was safe. They got their pet dog back.
